The 2027 Sailing Voyages : A Maritime Legacy by Orient Express
The 2027 Sailing Voyages : A Maritime Legacy by Orient Express
A Season Across New Horizons
How far can a summer under sail take you?
In 2027, further than before. Orient Express Corinthian returns to the Mediterranean, this time with new ports along her course, before the map extends north towards Normandy, Scandinavia and the British Isles. Another silhouette will also appear on the horizon. Orient Express Olympian, her sister-yacht, joins Corinthian for the season, enriching a programme envisioned around movement and discovery.
These new scenic luxury cruises and sailing voyages trace coastlines of striking contrast. Mediterranean warmth and colour at one end.
Longer evenings and softer northern light at the other. And between the two... the same feeling of elegance in motion, aboard Orient Express Sailing Yachts, where yacht and palace meet.

A Mediterranean summer, redrawn
The Mediterranean feels familiar. Or perhaps only at first glance. A subtle change of course can alter the perspective entirely. In the east, Mykonos rises from the Aegean in shades of white and blue before Istanbul transforms the scene. Minarets, palaces, ferries crossing the Bosphorus... Few arrivals offer such a vivid sense of standing between worlds.
The Cyclades slow things down, Naxos and Samos bring quieter harbours, traces of ancient civilisations and generous stretches of Aegean blue.
Here, the sea is part of the responsibility too, reflected in Orient Express Sailing Yachts’ commitment to more conscious travel.

The coastline draws closer westwards, and Portofino sits tucked beneath the Ligurian hills. Porto Venere leads towards the Cinque Terre, where coloured façades cling to a rugged shoreline. Then comes Saint-Tropez, unmistakably Riviera, although arriving from the water lends even familiar glamour a different perspective.
Ibiza offers another contrast, because beyond its celebrated image, quieter coves and clear waters reveal a more discreet side of the island when approached from the sea. Perhaps this is where scenic luxury cruises find their greatest appeal, in the passage that leads towards it. A harbour first appearing as a distant outline. Details slowly emerging.
Lunch on one shore, dinner with another already drawing closer.
Among the many luxury cruise vacation ideas for 2027, these Mediterranean routes offer something more nuanced than a sequence of celebrated names. They unfold instead as a haute couture odyssey, shaped by architecture, landscape, history and the ever-changing character of the sea.

When the sails turn north
And then... north. For the first time, Orient Express Sailing Yachts moves beyond Mediterranean waters towards Northern Europe. Honfleur makes a fitting threshold. Around the Vieux Bassin, historic façades gather at the water’s edge, beneath the Normandy light that has inspired generations of painters. Beyond Honfleur, the Voyage continues into cooler seas and long summer evenings where daylight seems reluctant to fade.
Bergen shifts the scenery once again. Along Bryggen, the city’s UNESCO-listed Hanseatic wharf brings centuries of maritime history to the water’s edge, with Norway’s fjord landscape unfolding beyond. Elsewhere along the northern routes, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Greenwich each add a different maritime chapter, from historic trading harbours and naval heritage to waterfronts shaped by centuries of travel and exchange. Royal histories here. Working harbours there. Architecture that has grown around the sea rather than merely facing it. No two northern arrivals quite speak the same language.

For these sailing voyages, contrast becomes part of the experience. It is also what sets Orient Express Sailing Yachts among the most unique yachts at sea. One passage may frame the Riviera in the distance; another opens onto Bergen and the northern horizon. The scenery shifts completely, while the spirit on board remains unmistakably the same.
The scenic luxury cruises planned for 2027 also leave room to shape a more personal Voyage. Shorter passages can be combined, carrying you from Mediterranean islands towards Honfleur or Scandinavia, while each new coastline comes into view from the intimacy of the suites.
Aboard some of the most unique yachts of the season, the map is no longer something simply followed. It becomes part of the invitation.
